Accurail
has scheduled a number of HO scale
kits for release late this month or early in December. The 89’
partially enclosed auto carrier will be available with a Chicago
North Western rack mounted on a TTBX Trailer Train flat car.
This kit (item 9413) will have an MSRP of $23.98. All Accurail
kits include appropriate trucks and Accumate couplers.

based on an AAR design for 70-ton coal haulers. Between the
late 1930s and early 1970s tens of thousands of these cars
were in use by a large number of North American railroads.
The HO scale kit features realistic Wine hopper doors and lock-
ing handles, Bettendorf-type solid-bearing trucks, and an AB
brake system including a nicely-rendered Equipco brake wheel.
In view of current prices, Accurail’s MSRP of $16.98 for this kit
(item 7549) makes it an excellent value.
