I
am not a fast clock guy. My layout is about the last place
you’d imagine needing one, since I model a small regional
railroad with very laid-back operations. I didn’t want my
crews to feel pressured by a fast clock, or to make their moves
too quickly in order to beat the clock.
Imagine my surprise, then, when they began asking me to
install a fast clock. Apparently, their absence added some pres-
