Steel, and Midvale Steel. The model will come with a DCC
SoundTraxx® 16-bit polyphonic sound decoder that replicates
the prime mover, three air horns, and a locomotive bell.

Blackstone Models,
division of SoundTraxx,
has clarified the pricing of
its new HOn3 ProTraxx™
prefabricated track sys-
tem. The principal com-
ponents are a 9'' section
of straight track, and a 9'' section of curved track. They each
have an MSRP of $18.25 for a four-pack. The curved track has
a radius of 19''. A starter set with four pieces of straight track,
16 pieces of curved track (to form a complete oval), and one
power joiner with three feet of wire will be priced at $89.95.
ProTraxx™ is composed of code 70 nickel-silver rail mounted
on painted and textured ties on ballast-colored roadbed. Each
section of track is fitted with Kato UniJoiners at each end. The
new HOn3 narrow gauge track system is expected to be avail-
able late this summer.
At the
NTS,
BLMA
announced
plans for a 62' Santa Fe Bx166 double-door boxcar. The HO
scale “beer car” will be available next summer in 12 numbers
each for two different decorating schemes. Additional details
including pricing will be announced soon.
