four-bay covered hopper. Cars designated for plastic pellet ser-
vice will be available for Amoco, Dow Chemical, BFGX-
Goodrich, and Louisiana-Pacific. Cars for grain service will
include ADM (above), and Chicago Freight Car Leasing. The N
scale ready-to-run cars are scheduled for release in the first
quarter of 2014. They will have an MSRP of $24.95. An undeco-
rated model will list at $18.95.

GP35 diesel locomotive decorated for Atlantic Coast Line,
Canadian Pacific, Railink Canada, Reading, Western Maryland,
Conrail, Union Pacific, and Great Northern. The ready-to-run

several new N
scale models
at the National
Train Show
including a DCC-equipped EMD NW-2 Switcher with an MSRP of
$139.00. Road names will include Union Pacific, Great Northern,
Pennsylvania Railroad, and New York Central, as well as painted
but unlettered. The NW-2 is scheduled for release next month.
Also due in September are DCC-equipped EMD F7-A and F7-B
diesel locomotives with an MSRP of $115.00. A list of road

Bachmann has selected Union Pacific’s Centennial DD40AX as
its first N scale DCC sound-equipped locomotive. Scheduled
for release in October, the SoundTraxx® 16-bit diesel sound
package will include dual-prime movers, three air horns, and
a locomotive bell. Three versions of the UP locomotive will be
available at an MSRP of $209.00 each.
