BLMA

is working on
a new GSC 60’
flat car for release early next year. The ready-to-run model fol-
lows a prototype manufactured in the mid-1950s by General
Steel Casting of Granite City, Illinois. With a frame composed
of a single steel casting, the prototype was assured of strength
and durability with many of the original cars still in use today.
BLMA’s N scale version adheres closely to the prototype with
such features as body-mounted knuckle couplers and 70-ton
ASF Ride-Control trucks with 33” metal wheels. Four road num-
bers each will be available for Burlington
Northern, Cotton Belt (SSW), Illinois
Central, Pennsylvania (class F-47),
Wabash, and ATSF in the original 1956
Santa Fe scheme.
BLMA is now selling the Carrier X2
refrigeration units used on refrigerator
cars separately. See your dealer or visit
the website for details.
