which is switched by the engine and crew based out of St. Joe Yard.

focal point of operations is downtown Cincinnati with its many
industries, and steel mill operations across the Ohio River in
Newport, KY. Undercliff Yard supports all of the switching that
takes place in Cincinnati along with the various transfer runs
between connecting roads
This facility includes arrival and departure tracks, classification
tracks, and a medium-size engine terminal. Local Cincinnati
operations are further supported by the smaller Oasis Yard, adja-
cent to Undercliff Yard, which is used to marshal all cars either
inbound or outbound from the Cincinnati switching districts.
To the west of Cincinnati is St. Joe Yard which includes river to
rail facilities along the Ohio River. Beyond St. Joe are two staging
yards, with a total of 16 tracks, representing connections to the
west, including Lawrenceburg, IN, Bedford, IN and St. Louis, MO.
