layout are kits or kitbashed. There are only a few scratchbuilt
structures. Even what I have finished needs some upgrading.
Now that I've honed my skills and learned more techniques, I
look at things on the layout and realize I could do them better.
At age 77, I have lots more to do. Hopefully, the good Lord will
give me time to do it.

Will your children inherit your layout?
Jim:
No, I plan to sell the layout, house included. It's been done
before, you know. However, I have an added bonus. As you
know, my house is built in the shape of a railroad roundhouse.
What's more, it's tucked into the side of the Green Mountains
in Vermont where winters are long and cold. The ideal model
railroader's home!
