Colorado flooding hits InterMountain
Flood waters that hit central Colorado in mid-September caused
severe damage to several communities including Longmont,
where InterMountain Railway Company is headquartered. Frank
Angstead, president of Intermountain, said the bottom floor of
their three-story structure received about a foot of water. The
company’s machine shop and several offices are on the lower
floor and the flood caused only minor damage. Operations were
not affected because InterMountain’s administration, sales
activity, and warehousing are located in the upper levels of the
building. “Although several Longmont homes were destroyed,
thankfully there has been no loss of life,” said Angstead …
