matching the written description of the tables. I painted the
rest of the booth a “bamboo” color. When the paint had dried,
I wrapped the backs of the booths in paper done in a bamboo
pattern, The paper also covers the sides of the booths and hides
where I used a Dremel tool to grind them down, sizing them for
the car. The table tops are glued to table bases, and the booths to
the floor.
Finally, to the tables in the lounge areas. Printing table tops on
card stock with zebra-wood was not a problem, but how to simu-
late the pedestals they sit on? Pins and drilling thru the floor? I
tried super gluing the tables to the tops of #00 pins, but it would
not hold. So, pins thru the table tops, leaving the pin tops on top
of the tables? That didn’t work either.
Next I tried using some #1 paper clips and pliers. I would bend a
paper clip creating a flat surface and glue on the tabletop. Then
I put the paperclip thru the floor. It worked, so the remainder of
