sofa with the cement. I use the tweezers to line up the arms/legs
with the sofa body, repeating the step for the other side of chair
or sofa.
I left the seat in the self-closing tweezers until the cement was dry.
I only have 3 self-closing tweezers, so doing the 6 lounge sofas, 21
chairs, and one special sofa required days of assembly. I did the
entire package of each type, and then chose the best to use.
The sofa at the very rear of the car requires special treatment. It’s
unique from the other sofas in the car. The Red Cap Line -153.01
sofa is close, but too long. I took my Dremel tool, mounted my cut-
ting blade, and prepared to cut a sofa apart.
The sofa is three seats wide, I need two, so I sliced out the center
seat and glued the two ends together. The Dremel cuts were so
sharp that there was very little cleanup. You can’t see the seam.
Once all the chairs and sofas are assembled it’s time to begin
painting. All chairs and sofas have one common feature. The metal
frames are gold colored. The cloth parts of the chairs and sofas
