1,500 cars in his collection. At any point in time, there are
approximately 1,200 cars on the layout. Most commercially
manufactured cars that are relevant to the era are on the layout.
John has also scratchbuilt a number of freight cars. Almost all
of the cars are era-specific, and most represent actual cars that
were in service during the middle to late 1970s. All of the rolling
stock has been weathered appropriately for its length of service.
Motive power consists of first- and second-generation diesels
and each consist has a least one sound decoder-equipped unit.
Just about every locomotive manufacturer is represented, and
there are over 100 units in service.
