Dryer sheet scenery
“This has probably been suggested, but will submit this
idea just the same. I use 'spent' dryer sheets (3) as scenery
material.
“After creating the basic form of the terrain with plastic
store bags filled with old newspaper and covering them with
masking tape webbing, I soak spent dryer sheets in plaster
of Paris and lay them over the webbing, overlapping each
one and smoothing it all out with the leftover plaster mix.
“This is cheaper than using paper towels or plaster-impreg-
nated gauze materials.”

3: Gauzy fabric softener
and anti-static sheets from
the home laundry can be
salvaged for use in model
railroad scenery. That way,
scenery costs come out of
the household budget.
