Athearn’s August
schedule includes a
run of 20,900 gallon
general service tank
cars based on a prototype built by Richmond Tank Car
Company. Road names will be BNSF, Santa Fe, Celtran Inc., Dow
Chemical, and PTLX-General Electric Rail Services.
Rounding out
Athearn’s August
releases is another
run of the popular
Fruehauf 40’ Z-Van trailers. The HO scale models are produced
from upgraded A-Line tooling and feature positionable land-
ing gear and a working rear sliding bogie. Trailers will be avail-
able decorated for Santa Fe, Chessie System, C&NW, Southern,
Nacionales de México, and Union Pacific. Also in the mix is an
unlettered owner-operator version.
