I
n 2011, RR-CirKits
introduced a line of elec-
tronic circuit boards that bring prototypical signaling within
the reach of even those on a tight budget. The boards can
connect to trackside signals, occupancy detectors, and slow-
motion switch motors on your model railroad. They communi-
cate with each other using RR-CirKit’s three-wire “Simple Serial
Bus” (SSB).
Like DCC decoders, the three main boards contain CVs (configu-
ration variable registers) to set many operating characteristics.
