sion are orange. The
heralds have traded
position and the UP
shield is black and
white.
The 1962 version
has black ends and
undercarriage and
a silver roof. Newly
designed heralds
have been reposi-
tioned and the let-
tering has been changed to modern Gothic. InterMountain
will also offer this model decorated for Armour, MDT, and
Northern Pacific.
The initial
product from
InterMountain’s
recently announced
“Value Line” will
be 14-panel Coalporter cars. The HO scale models will be pro-
duced from upgraded tooling previously used by LBF and E&C
models. The bolsters have been redesigned and the new ready-
to-run model will be equipped with InterMountain 100-ton
trucks with 36” wheels. It will also have factory installed Kadee
trucks. A release date of May/June 2015 is scheduled for the
Coalporters. Although still not firm, the MSRP is expected to be
