9. The section is made up of foam sheets cut to the contour of
the main line curve, with six inches of scenery on each side of
the track. The ¼-inch plywood is oak. It’s wrapped around the
foam and glued in place to form the curved sides and flat bot-
tom. Everything is stained, and finished with polyurethane.

10. The removed sections has a safe place under the lay-
out for storage and can be dropped into place at a moment’s
notice. Replace the pins and the rail joiners to have trains
running in minutes.
