How it works
The PICAXE is programmed through pins 2 and 3, which are
connected to the computer’s serial port (or to a USB-to-serial
adapter). Resistors R1 and R2 and a DB9 connector are all
that are needed to connect your computer to the PICAXE for
programming.
Infrared pulses are generated by pressing a key on the TV
remote control. These are received by the IR receiver IC and
sent to the PICAXE through pin 8.

infrared codes.
