39: To simulate flashing
around the chimney,
I use twomaterials
often employed in
assembling stained
glass. The firstmaterial
is a self-adhesive
copper foil that comes
in a roll; I use the 3/16"
ribbon. The first step in
using the foil is to coat
the copper with a thin
film of solder.

40: Fashion two strips
whichwill fit over each
half of the smoke jack
box, size them to allow
some overhang. Cut
a semicircle in each
piece to fit around the
smoke stack.
