STEP1:Cutting theparts to size
1: In reviewing photos of 19th century boxcars,
I observed that quite a few hadmilled shadow
lines in the cars' sheathing. There appeared to be
one or two shadow lines present in each board.
To create single shadow lines, mark the centers
of the 3/32" scribes. Use a steel scribe and
impress a new groove between themanufactured
ones. Usemoderate pressure on the scribe, as
this new shadow line should not be as deep as
themanufactured grooves.
