Atlas showed a mockup of an HO scale FMC 5347 boxcar with
double offset doors at Trainfest in Milwaukee last month. The
car was identified as an Atlas Master Line series model, but no
information was available on possible road names or expected
release dates. Our guess is that it won’t appear any time soon,

Bachmann
is selling its
HO scale sound equipped
Alco S2 switcher with
DCC and SoundTraxx with
16-bit sounds of a diesel
prime mover, three air horns, and a bell. Additional features
of the newly tooled model include diecast chassis, flywheel
all-wheel drive, directional headlights with soft white LED
lighting, Blunt trucks, and E-Z Mate Mark II knuckle couplers.
Road names are Santa Fe, Baltimore & Ohio, Pennsylvania, and
Union Pacific with a “Dependable Transportation” slogan. The
ready-to-run model has an MSRP of $215.00.
