Athearn’s
production
schedule for
2015
includes a
July release date for a new run of General Electric ES44AC diesel
locomotives. General details such as a nose door on the left side,
flush-mounted top radiator grilles, and grab irons on the side of
the long hood reflect GE’s 2005-2006 production of the proto-
type. The Genesis series HO scale model will be available deco-
rated for BNSF, CP Rail, and Union Pacific. Road-specific details
include variations in trucks, air filters, cab windows, snow plow
size, and the position of number boards and headlights.
