STEP 1: Cutting the valve off

Cut the valve off several inches from the end,
retaining most of the rubber hose with the air
tank. Insert a barbed fitting into each cut end until
seated. You may need to lubricate the brass barbs
with a soap solution to get them to seat. Then
tighten a hose clamp over the barbed portion. [2-4]
If you still want to use the air tank to inflate tires,
beach toys, etc., insert the other barbed fitting into
the other end of the air tank’s hose and install a
male quick-disconnect fitting [5].
