Newspapers
on the
bench and
blowing in
the street
are from
Bar Mills
and Fine
Sale Miniature. The kit's roof sign was scanned into
Corel Draw, and the original name was erased and
replaced. Diners were (and still are in many circles)
considered dirty greasy spoons inhabited by low-
life men. Many New England diners were named
“Miss (Name of city) Diner” in an effort to attract
female patronage. We can see the “Miss Marshfield
Diner” has a least a few women and children inside,
but this is a small respectable coastal town. The
autos are diecast models that I occasionally find at
bargain prices during toy store closeouts.
