What are we looking for in
an article?
We need a clear and con-
cise manuscript describing
the project. Don't be vague.
Read it aloud, to yourself.
If it doesn’t make sense to
you, don’t assume that we
will understand what you
intended.
MRH
is a graphic-driven magazine, so we need lots of pho-
tos to choose from. Make sure that your subject is well lit
when you photograph it. Also make sure that the subject
is in focus. While a lot can be done with photo editing pro-
grams to correct minor problems, out of focus photos are
impossible to fix.
Finally, remember you are interviewing for a job or sell-
ing a product by sending us an article. You want to put
your best foot forward, so don’t cut corners when putting
your article together. Provide good captions for each photo
and follow our submission guideline
so you don’t make more work for us. If
you make our job easier, then you may become a favorite
author we turn to for more than a few articles.
Remember, we pay for articles, so if you’ve ever wondered how
your hobby could help pay its own way, here’s your chance.
