John Roberts 1947-2013
John E. Roberts, Sr., MMR,
passed away March 2, 2013, in
Williamsburg, Virginia. He was 65.
John was widely-known as a model
railroad activist and author and
was the builder of several highly-
regarded layouts. He held a number
of elected and volunteer positions
with NMRA including president in
2004-2006, vice president in 2000-
2004, Eastern district director in
2009-2013, and MCR president and
