SoundTraxx supplies many of their Tsunami decoders with
external keep-alive capacitors. Here is where the diode in fig-
ure 3 comes into operation (13).
If you wire a keep-alive capacitor external to the red and
black leads in the TSU-1000 series, the capacitor stores
energy on the microprocessor and amplifier side of the
