Because I’ve been writing this book, I have delved into the trackwork topic more deeply than I’ve ever seen in any book. I look at all scales, but especially I discuss the two most popular scales: HO and N. Since the early days of the NMRA in the 1940s until the 1980s, the classic NMRA gauge has served us well. But as the years have gone by, railroad clearances in the modern era have increased.
