his 0-6-0 side-tank HO scale steam locomo-
tive by Rivarossi represents a United States Army
Transportation Corps (USATC) S100 class designed for
switching duties in Europe and North Africa during World War
II. In later years, the S100 class locos also were used in Austria,
Great Britain, France, Greece, Italy, Yugoslavia, Palestine, Iraq,
Iran, Israel, and China.
