6. Give the top section of trunk a coat of rubber
cement. I coat about two-thirds of the stem. Tacky
Glue can also be used.

to the trunks. Sprinkle
the cut twine over
the wet glue. I work
in batches of six to
15 trees. I use a foam
block as a palette to
hold the trunks be-
tween steps. This also
makes an easy way
to carry the trees to
the layout for planting. At this point they don’t look
great, but the next step is the MAGIC.
