30: When IAIS 708 is clear of the points, the
conductor will close and lock the points before
running down the siding to the south switch.
31: Locking and unlocking equipment is just as
much of a conductor’s job as is coupling and
uncoupling freight cars.
32: Back on the running track, the Tramp is ready
to couple back with its train for the shove north to
Grimes.
