ExactRail’s Thrall 63’
opera-window cen-
ter-beam flat car has
been reissued with
multiple road num-
bers in six decorat-
ing schemes. They include BNSF, Burlington Northern (green),
Western Pacific (black), Union Pacific, Milwaukee Road, and
Milwaukee Road with billboard lettering as shown here. The HO
scale models are priced at $49.95 each.
Three new paint schemes are now available on ExactRail’s HO
scale Thrall 3564 gondola at $36.95. The roads are LW, MHFX,
and COER. Also available now at $36.95 are PS-2CD 4427 cov-
ered hoppers in new decorating schemes for Milwaukee Road
and Union Pacific . The four new ExactRail releases mentioned
here are from the company's Platinum series. They come with
Kadee couplers and ASF 100-ton Ride Control trucks with 33”
machined wheels.
Fox Valley Models
has completed a second run of its Soo Line
7-post boxcar with four new numbers plus an undecorated ver-
sion. Cars in the new run reflect some refinements from earlier
production including correcting the fit of the X-panel roof and a
thinner cross section in the corner stirrup steps. Additional fea-
tures include wire grab irons, etched metal cross walks, metal
wheelsets and Kadee #5 couplers. The HO scale ready-to-run
