STEP 1: The supplies
1: Art Fahie of Bar Mills models taught me to
spray the roofing material with an airbrush along
with using a variety of colors. I use Walmart
Color Place spray cans. These paints are readily
available. I use only the flat paints which are
available in gray, black, white, and rust.
I found that these colors meet most of my
needs. The pigments are fine, but after a short
time the nozzles begin to clog and to splatter. I
discovered that I could use the paint splatter to
my advantage. I invariably end up using all four
colors in varying amounts for each roof.
