Historical Society. The prototype structures were used for
storing handcars, tools, and supplies required for the con-
struction and maintenance of roadbed and trackwork. The
small structures were located along the mainline, at sidings,
and in yards at intervals of three to 10 miles apart.

All wood components in the kit are laser-cut including
board-and-batten wall siding, exposed rafter tails, interior
flooring, and positionable trackside doors with hinge and
hasp lock details. Rolled roofing material is provided along
with code 70 rail for the handcar setoff. Each assembled
shed measures 1.75” wide x 2.25” deep x 1.5” high. Kit #192
has an MSRP of $24.95 and has enough material to build
two HO scale sheds.
